Gokyo

ここは、Gokyoという場所。ここもエベレスト周辺では人気のトレッキングの最終地点。前日にCho La Passを超えたことで、ここにも来ることが出来た。まさに絶景。

How amazing view from Gokyo where is one of famous destination around the Everest. Hardly to get Cho La Pass over the day before this day, then I could get this great time there.

エベレストトレッキングはこれで大体おしまい。Luklaまでは駆け足でも３日程。でも標高下がると酸素が濃くてとても快適。エベレストでのトレッキングは合計13日。ただただ素晴らしかった。2011年10月。

All right, Everest trekking was almost over, just walking down to Lukla. It takes three days, even walking faster, but wasn't hard anymore with enough oxygen, just fun. It was total 13 days in Everest, and was just amazing. Dec, 2011

このカラパタールってのが、エベレスト街道の一番人気の最終地点かな。直前の２日間は雪降ったりして大変だったけど、この朝はなんと快晴。ただマイナス15℃と寒かったけど、やっぱ来て良かったと思えた。この写真に写ってる氷河をもっと遠くから歩いてきたぞ、という写真。そしてエベレストはもっと左手に。2011年10月。

Namche, Nepal

ナムチェはエベレスト街道途中にして最大の街。ナムチェバザールとも言われていて、その昔からチベット交易の市場が開かれていたとか。そう、エベレスト街道の魅力的なところは、今でこそ観光色の強い道だけど、実はもっと歴史のある道だってこと。そんなこと考えながら歩くも、標高は上がるは、荷物は重いはで、そんな結構がんばって歩いてました。あと、この街は車もオートバイも来れない。歩いて５日とか６日とかかかる距離なのに、こんなに立派な街。2010年10月。

Namche Bazal, the biggest town on the Everest trail. And, this is amazing that here's known as a town of former trading between Tibet and India! No car, no motorcycle, but such a great town here. Oct, 2011.

Katumandu, Nepal

首都、カトマンズには合計４泊した。トレッキングに行く前、別のトレッキングに行く前も一度ここに戻る。活気は凄い。とにかく人、人、人。車、オートバイ、バス、トラック、そしてそのクラクション、排気ガス。そしてその多くが無秩序だ。あまり快適じゃないけど、スラム街なんかよりいいかなって。お店も沢山ある。でも同じようなお店が多く、50mごとに同じ種類のお店を見てるだけのような気もする。2011年、10月および11月。

ネパールからいきなり話が飛ぶけど、最近撮ったいい感じの一枚。

富山は新しい形のLRT路面電車も評判だけど、こう古いのも味があって良いかな。

Nepal 2011

いやぁ、だいぶ長いこと何も書かなかったみたいだ。というのも10中旬から１ヶ月間ネパール滞在。もちろん写真を上げて、日記を書きたいのだけど、少し慌しく、なかなか事が進まない。まあ、のんびりいきます。写真は、エベレストトレッキングの歩き出しの町、Luklaの空港。山の斜面に作られていて、滑走路自体にも傾斜があり、世界一危ないと聞いたけど、確かに迫力満点。

Well, such a long time I haven't written anything. I was in Nepal for a month from middle of October. I might write about that later. This is a photo of Lukla air port which is called one of the most dangerous airport in the world. The runway is very short and with slope!

Then, I've got some of goode experience in Hakuba or Nagano in this winter. Some make me crying, and some make me struggling for going forward, and some make me happy. Once I'm done staying Hakuba, but will be back in the Winter. Juat wondering if I could find more better way living there. But before that, I'm heading to Airport tonight. What am I going to see next one month?

それで、もういくつかのいい経験をこの夏の白馬なり長野で得ることが出来たと思う。泣きそうになったこともあれば、前に進むために踏ん張らないといけないこともあれば、時にいいこともあったけど。一旦白馬滞在はおしまい、でも冬には戻るかな。何か生きるためのいい道が見つからないかなって。でもその前に、今夜から一月ほど旅行！

Long way going round. Walking more than twelve hours is kind of stupid idea, but sometimes it could be amazing. The thing is depend on just if you want to try. Sep 23, 2011.

3:30八方出発、5:40黒菱平、9:00唐松山荘、11:15五竜山荘、12:00五竜岳、12:50五竜山荘、15:30五竜テレキャビン、15:45五竜エスカルプラザ、17:15リトルアラスカ、18:00八方。修行系でした。台風の後冷え込んだ様で、同じ朝、白馬岳では初冠雪を記録。常にコースタイムの75%くらいのスピードで歩く、もしくは走るには、やっぱバックパックの重さが大切だなと実感。今回は軽い割りにカロリー高めな食べ物と、水1.5リットル、雨具、インナーダウン、フリース、ツェルト他緊急時の装備一式、ヘッドライト、カメラ１、携帯電話、財布、とかなりの軽量装備で行ったので、後半戦でもだいぶ走る余裕があって、この結果にはだいぶ満足。五竜から見た八方の地形も見れて良かった。

Typhoon is hitting to Japan. It's been raining heavily these two or three days, and it's cold. Nothing to do here, and I'm missing sunny days a lot. This is a scenery of a small village around Hakuba which is called Aoni, and is protected as a historical place by government. It's pretty Japanese, then is beautiful. We had known long time, but someone who lives in the city might has forgot.

台風です。雨が振り続けること２，３日。何もすることがありません。晴れの日が恋しいこと恋しいこと。この写真は白馬近くの青鬼地区と言われる歴史的地区の写真。とても日本的で美しい。日本人が長いこと見てきた景色、でも都市に住む人は忘れてしまっているかもしれない景色。

Here's getting fall, then weather's getting nice as well. This is my first hiking at Hakuba area in this summer. Very impressive. How nice that here's going to get bunch of snow a few months later..

Hakuba, Japan, summer 2011

This is the town, or village which is 6th place where I have lived ever. "Hakuba" means white horse in Japanese. Life there is already started, and is good. It's just surrounded by tons of green, and is a base town of the Japanese higher mountain range. Not too hot, not too humid, I'm working with nice people who're in outdoor guiding service, probably will be there until end of September.

この街は、僕が住む町、もしくは村としては６個目の土地。生活は既に始まっています。緑に囲まれた、この北アルプスのふもとの町で、９月末まで働く予定。

It's a good time which I have been in Japan for around 10 days, right after the long trip. Walking, cycling, eating, and feeling a beautiful atmosphere at Meiji Jinguu, Tokyo.


　

Calfornia to Tokyo

I've got home already. Flying from San Flancisco to LA at first. Then after flying ten hours from LA, I got Haneda Tokyo in the morning. A bit tired, but early morning light is quite beautiful! and that makes me peace a lot.

帰宅済み。まずサンフランシスコからLAまで飛んで、そしてLAから10時間飛んで羽田空港。少し疲れてたけど、朝の東京の光は綺麗で、だいぶ気持ちが安らいだかな。

そう最近出来た羽田国際ターミナル着の便を選んでみたけど、羽田の立地はいいとして、LA深夜発の東京早朝着ってのは少し疲れるかな。それでも飛行機は満席。しかも隣に座ってた仕事バリバリ出来そうな海外営業の方は、ついたその足で会社向かうって言ってたさ…。

Get back to San Francisco

After camping five nights in Yosemite, I got back to San Francisco. Staying here two more nights, enjoying a little slow time here, and I'm leaving US to Japan on Thuesday, finally. A little sad, maybe.

ヨセミテで5泊キャンプした後、サンフランシスコへ無事へ戻ってこれた。ここにもう2泊、少しのんびりとした時間を過ごして、とうとう日本へ。少し寂しい、かな。


　

Sierra Nevada

I've driven such a long way for this ten days, through a few states which has totally different world from Japan. And finally, I'm staying in a forest in the Sierra Nevada! Camping here a few more days for great hiking. Mist which comes from the big fall even falls in the forest. This is beautiful.

ここ10日ほど、だいぶ長い距離車を運転しました。いくつかの州を走ったけど、それらは本当に日本とは違い素晴らしい。そして最終的にここシエラネバダの森にたどり着きました。ここでキャンプすることあと数日、そしてハイキング。大きな滝からの水滴は、森の中にすら到達し、とても綺麗。


　

San Francisco, CA

Staying beautiful city for 5days. I'm leaveing here tomorrow morning for the final trip in the North America which I've stayed for over one year.

5日間滞在しました。綺麗な街です。でも明日朝出発、１年以上滞在した北米最後の旅に向けて。

Seattle, WA

Big city! And so many Starbucks... But Starbuck in the US is nice. It's not expensive, compare to Canada or Japan. Tall Cofee in Seattle is around 1.5 doller. But in Japan, it's around 340yen=4.25doller. So, it's more than TWICE expensive than the US!! Hah..



Also, a big surprise is a public library. So modern and huge.

Around noon in a sunny day, people are walking, running, ridding a bicycle, or sleeping on the grasses, on the river side.　The reason why I feel well for this city is that they has what they need, and dosen't have what they don't need. Just enough. A beautiful city, surrounded by river and lots of green, and beautiful girls... haha!

しかし美しい街です。今まで訪れた北米の街の中で一番です。”綺麗”な街といっても、飾られた綺麗ではなく、もちろんしっかりとした都市整備計画はあるにせよ、その土地の風土、そしてそこに住む人の人柄なんかも、とても重要なんだと思う。ちなみにこの街の都市整備計画は、都市成長境界線なるものによって、街が無意味に郊外に広がることを抑えて、そして郊外には自然を残し、自然を必要とする産業が発展するよう、計画されてるとのこと。そして街の中も緑がいっぱいで、サイクリストが多いのも特徴。北米有数のサイクリスト都市で、老若男女、大学生の女の子までもがスタイリッシュに自転車を乗りこなしてる。そんな街、ポートランド、素晴らしい！








　

Get back to Anchorage

This is a almost last moment in Alaska!

Getting back to Anchorage from Valdez. This was scenic as well... Sunny days in here is ten times better than cloudy days. Actually I think it'a a good city. Here has a long daytime in summer, then people have a good time evening, after working, after studying. I've seen some good scene, like many children playing in the park with there parents, many people playing sports with there friends, or riding a motorcycle with friends, and so on.

Staying here couple of days for resting and making the next plan. Finally, it was a nice month, but I'm leaving here tonight. It takes a few hours to the next state!
